History
Hahn Air Base, Germany was one of eight bases in U.S. Air Forces Europe selected to test the comptroller squadron concept. Effective Nov. 15, 1983, the 7150th Comptroller Squadron was designated and activated at Hahn Air Base. A major purpose behind the test program was to foster improved morale, esprit de corps and unify all finance personnel into one squadron. This objective was met and based on the positive results from all of the test squadrons, Headquarters U.S. Air Force authorized the establishment of permanent comptroller squadrons in U.S. Air Forces in Europe.

Effective July 1, 1985, the 7150th Comptroller Squadron was inactivated and the 50th Comptroller Squadron was officially designated and activated at Hahn Air Base. The unit was inactivated Sept. 30, 1991, with the closure of Hahn Air Base.

Effective Oct. 1, 2003, the 50th Comptroller Squadron was activated at Schriever Air Force Base as the 50th Comptroller Flight, assigned to the 50th Space Wing. Air Force Space Command redesignated the flight 50th Comptroller Squadron on July 1, 2004.
