10/25/2012 - SCHRIEVER AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- An owl that was found injured on June 4 after smashing into a window at the Schriever clinic was released from the same spot Oct. 23.

Doug Chase, 50th Civil Engineer Squadron environmental engineer, and Andy Jensen, 50 CES environmental chief, were called in to help rescue the owl after it was injured in June.

The owl was transported to the Ellicott Wildlife Rehabilitation Center where it was nursed back to health.

Jensen got the opportunity to do the honors and release the owl to fly back into the wild.
