10/31/2012 - Schriever Air Force Base, Colo. -- Proper wear of the uniform at local events:
Air Force members, including active-duty, reserve component and retired military, may appear in uniform at local community-wide, civic-sponsored events only when the event meets the basic participation criteria outlined in AFI-35-105, Paragraph 5.5 and:
· The commander believes participation is appropriate and in good taste
· The individual volunteers for the assignment
· There is no interference with military duties or operations
· Participation involves no additional cost to the government
