Senior Airman Crystal Herrera, 21st Medical Squadron, earned the March Top III Top Performer. Herrera set herself apart from her peers through tireless work ethic, composure and military bearing as a public health technician and the Airman’s Council vice president. In the course of her duties, she conducts preventive health assessments, completes medical deployment processing and inspects food facilities. Additionally, Herrera was recently elected as the Airman’s Council vice president where she led and executed the 50th Space Wing monthly promotion ceremony. Finally, her efforts as the Airman’s Council vice president led to the highest meeting attendance in the history of Schriever’s Airman’s Council.

Susan Flores, Ellicott Elementary Assistant Principal and 2015 Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year for Colorado, stands in front of the school’s tribute to its students’ military family members. Each star represents a family member, either active duty or veteran, with blue stars indicating a currently deployed member. The school had students fill the stars with the name and years of service, and sometimes photo, of the service member as a way to honor students of Schriever personnel without singling them out.
