Top Performer July

Each month the Schriever Air Force Base Top III honors a Top Performer to highlight superior efforts and contributions of our junior enlisted members from across the base. Senior Airman Nathan Trimpey, 50th Space Communications Squadron, received the July Top III Top Performer of the month award. As a Cyber Security Specialist, Trimpey oversees Cyber Security for the Wing and 13 geographically separated units. As a Wing Inspection Team member for 50th Space Wing Inspector General, Trimpey conducted a Computer Security/Emissions Security assessment on 21st Space Operations Squadron at Vandenberg Air Force Base. He identified five deficiencies and assisted personnel in correcting them; aiding in their overall rating of Effective. Trimpey was hand-picked as a cyber-security Subject Matter Expert to assist the 460th SCS, at Buckley AFB, in preparing for their Command Cyber Readiness Inspection. He identified critical security flaws and provided detailed guidance on how to correct the issues; his technical prowess led to him being coined by the 460th SCS commander. Finally, Trimpey helped produce the 50th Space Wing’s Cybersecurity Risk Assessment Process, providing Management Internal Control Toolset self-assessment checklist for 48 units; standardizing responses and providing detailed explanations for each question.
