The 50th Contracting Squadron is a component of the 50th Mission Support Group, 50th Space Wing, at Schriever Air Force Base Colorado.
While the squadron was officially activated on Aug. 14, 1995, its humble beginnings trace back to 1992 as temporary tenants in the West
Entry Control Facility.
The 50 CONS, comprised of 64 military and civilian contracting professionals, is responsible for operational and specialized contracting support
for the 50th Space Wing at worldwide locations and for tenant units located on Schriever AFB. The squadron executed 501 contractual actions
in Fiscal Year 2019 on programs valued at more than $500 million. The support provided includes solicitation, award and administration of a
broad range of contractual support requirements to include commodities, services, construction, architecture and engineering services and
research and development efforts. The squadron is also responsible for providing quality assurance training and oversight for wing and tenant
unit contracts, and for serving as the installation focal point and managing and administering the 50th Space Wing Government Purchase
