Schriever closes North Gate

Release Number: 102011

Schriever leadership has closed the base's North Gate in response to ongoing repairs of a gas leak on Enoch and Falcon roads.

The base will conduct a phased release this afternoon to mitigate congestion travelling off base.

The 50th Civil Engineer Squadron confirmed a leak late yesterday afternoon. Black Hills Energy and 50 CES members have been working to repair the leak.

The leak has not impacted any on base operations and officials are taking the necessary precautions to prevent any impact should the repairs take longer than expected.

The crews expect to have the repairs completed before normal reporting Friday morning; however updated information will be provided via the base's Snow Call line at 567-SNOW or 7669.
