Support grads of 2020, light up the night

Colorado Springs is showing support for the graduating class of 2020by lighting up the city. Turn on a porch light or any festive lights in your home at 8:20 p.m. tonight and keep them lit for one hour. You can take a photo and post online using #BeTheLightCOS to see others lights.

Medical clinic schedules closures

The Schriever clinic is scheduled to close the following days:

Friday: All day, family day

Monday: All Day, holiday

June 11: All day, training day

July 3: All day, holiday

July 6: Noon – 4:30 p.m.    , family day

July 9: All day, training day

Aug. 13: All day,    training day

Sept. 4: Noon – 4:30 p.m., family day

Sept. 7: All day, holiday

Sept. 10: All day    , training day

 

Health Promotions Office reopens

The Health Promotions office is seeing patients by appointment only. Masks must be worn to appointments.

Students receive free tutoring

The Department of Defense, military community and family policy temporarily expanded eligibility for Tutor.com for military families. The program provides on-demand academic support in more than 100 subjects for kindergarten through college students.

Visit Tutor.com/military to take advantage of this program.

50th FSS resumes framing, engraving

The 50th Force Support Squadron is bringing framing and engraving projects back.

MFLC alters appointments 

In response to COVID-19, the Military and Family Life Counselor program is temporarily providing telephone or video non-medical counseling via Zoom. To schedule an appointment with the adult MFLC on Schriever call or text 719-225-6003, or email schrieveradultmflc@srimflcteam.com

Clinic suspends over-the-counter program indefinitely

The 21st Medical Squadron pharmacy has suspended the over-the-counter medication program indefinitely to ensure patients are receiving the appropriate level of care and assessment due to ongoing events.

Voluntary Leave Transfer Program

Paul Ray, John Kirby and Robert Matthias have been approved for the Voluntary Leave Transfer Program. To donate leave, please do the following:

1.    Complete the OPM 30-A

2.    Request to donate annual leave to recipient under the VLTP

Logistics Planner Retraining Opportunities

Family Advocacy reopens

The Peterson Air Force Base Family Advocacy Office is open and offering all of their services over the phone. This includes such as couples counseling scheduling, consultations on parenting support, divorce and separation, relationship enhancement and communication skills.

Call 719-556-8943 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. For 24 hour assistance, call the command post at 719-556-4555 or the victims advocate line at 719-291-6625 for emergency assistance.

Center for Relationship Education hosts virtual relationship workshop

The Center for Relationship Education put together a series of free virtual relationship workshops. The workshops will foster effective communication, cultivate clear understanding, and aid in conflict resolution. Each eligible couple will receive up to $150 in gift cards for attending all four sessions and participating in surveys. Registration is open to couples who are dating, engaged or married.

Participate in Colorado Technical University Patriot Scholarship

Colorado Technical University awards 50 full tuition scholarships to service members, veterans and their family members each year. The application period runs from until June 30.
