  • Internalize, operationalize our core values

With great power comes great responsibility and the necessity for very high standards; which is why the Air Force requires each of us, active duty, civil servant, reserve member and contractors to exemplify three core values: Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do.
  • Why I wear the uniform

When I was a civilian, I told some of my closest friends I was going to join the Air Force. Each one of them had a similar response, they wanted to know why.
  • Our solemn oath

Sixteen years ago, our country was shaken to its core on Sept. 11, 2001. Heartbreaking 9/11 tragedies in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania fundamentally changed all American lives for the foreseeable future.
  • Thank you for your service

I recently assumed command of the 23rd Space Operations Squadron located at New Boston Air Force Station in New Hampshire.  The installation covers roughly 2,900 acres, consisting of only about 50 acres of developed land for operational facilities.  The land was originally purchased by the United States government in 1941, to be used as a training
  • What is your need?

Wow ... where has the time gone? I cannot believe it’s been six months since I joined Team Schriever as your command chief. It’s been exciting for me to watch you execute our mission, providing global combat effects on a daily basis. Thank you for all you do.
  • Do the right thing

Not too long ago, I was honored to officiate the promotion to lieutenant colonel of a very good friend. He was by far one of the best officers I’ve had the privilege to serve with, and I struggled to come up with the right words to describe the thing that set him apart from all others in my mind.
  • Why I wear the uniform

Throughout my life, I have had countless character defining moments, events that molded me into the person I am today. One of the most significant moments also happens to be one of my earliest and saddest memories.
  • Online safety

As we near the beginning of another school year, one thing’s for sure: students, parents, and teachers will all be more connected than ever before. With the prevalence of smart laptops, tablets, phones, watches etc., seemingly everything today is connected to the internet in one way or another. Technology has revolutionized our access to information and has made our lives better in many ways. However, being “Wired Up, Fired Up!” 24/7 does bring with it some vulnerabilities too.
  • Feedback provides real talk

As of late, and with good reason, the topic of feedback has gained considerable attention throughout the Air Force. Senior Air Force leaders recognize effective feedback as an essential tool and understand the significant value and benefit feedback sessions offer to entire organizations as well as individual recipients. Although feedback is accepted as an effective way to support and enable future leaders, the idea of real, honest feedback is still a sensitive subject.
  • HULA employs lethal combo of AF personnel, innovation

America’s Air Force is the smallest it has been since its inception; however, despite downsizing, operations tempo remains high, and Airmen and civilian counterparts are shouldering the burden of an ever-increasing workload.
